"Growing up my Indian parents always pushed me towards a career in medicine. Though they meant well and wanted nothing but to see their oldest daughter succeed and avoid the hardships they faced, it meant sacrificing the choices I had for my future.

So I pursued a career in healthcare, wanting nothing but to make them proud. And I did. I graduated with a Bachelors and Masters in Health Administration. But a part of me longed for a career where my creative passions could be fulfilled, something I’ve always enjoyed doing since I was young.

 

In 2020, during the start of the pandemic, I discovered my passion for interior designs and easy do it yourself achievable home designs. I decided to share my design online and all of a sudden I got asked to design a studio apartment. Designing and styling other people’s home was something I've always done but never thought about professionally. I didn’t think anyone would take me seriously. Because of that one chance, I’ve designed for 33 clients across the nation. It may seem small, but wow.
